On 25 October 2024, the Cyprus Tax Department (“CTD”) announced that the Council of Ministers, during its meeting on 24 October 2024, approved an extension for submitting the 2022 and 2023 Income Tax Returns (ITR).
According to the announcement, the deadlines for submitting the ITR will be extended as follows:
- 28 February 2025 for the tax year 2022; and
- 30 November 2025 for the tax year 2023
This extension specifically applies to taxpayers who are obligated to submit the Summarized Information Table (SIT) as part of their tax compliance obligations.
The extension provides additional time for affected taxpayers to finalize and submit their returns, ensuring they meet the necessary reporting requirements.
